This year’s harvest was completed with normal temperatures, so the weather conditions allowed, in general, a good development of the vines.
Ripening was favoured by the absence of rainfall since the beginning of September and the diurnal temperature swing was high, as normal for this area, favouring a calm maturation despite some periods with heatwaves. The grapes arrived with an ideal ripeness and a perfect state of health for its vinification.

Description
Grape Varieties:
Tempranillo 95% and Merlot 5%.
The Tempranillo grapes come from San Juan del Monte and Quintana del Pidio, and the Merlot, from Anguix. They are planted at an altitude of 850 meters above sea level, mainly in sandy loam soils, where pebbles predominate.
Maturation:
After vinification in stainless steel tanks, wine rested in tanks for three months before being transferred to American (25%) and French (75%) oak barrels – new, and second and third year – where it remained, for a period of six months.
Appearance:
Its intense ruby colour with purple hues stands out, clean and bright.
On the nose:
You find an attractive blend of fruit aromas of such as strawberry, red and black cherry and black plum together with cream and oak, like subtle aromas of vanilla, coconut, roasted coffee and some spices.
On the palate:
The wine has a good body with integrated aromas, sweet tannins and well balanced alcohol with fresh acidity. It is persistent and marked by the style of modern wines.
